Book Donation Policy

Effective May 7, 2024

Following the guidlines of Better World Books, the Stewartville Public Library will not accept donations that exhibit any of the following: mildew, mold, excessive dust and dirt, water damage, excessive spine damage, damage such as missing pages or missing covers, galley/review copies, or uncorrected proofs.

These items can not be entered into the library's collection or book sale. Additionally, moldy and water damaged books could damage the library's existing collection and sale items and/or cause health problems for library patrons and staff. 

As library dumpster space is limited, please dispose of all damaged books at home.
